Not receiving notifications

  1. Every month my site takes submissions, and I use GF. This last month I had major problems with getting notifications. In the past it was rare and not a big deal. This time it was more than half. I have notifications set up so that I get one, and the person submitting gets one; neither party received it. Thankfully though the entries ARE there in my WP dashboard.

My host is Godaddy, and I emailed them, as I'd read here that if the entries are in the WP dashboard, it's not a GF issue, its a host/webserver issue.
they offered little help, not surprising, but told me this and it makes no sense to me.

" In order to be able to send email through our hosting accounts that we offer you must use the following relay server in your code:

    relay-hosting.secureserver.net

You do not need to provide a user name and password for this relay server as it does not require authentication."

Might someone here have a better idea at whats going wrong and can explain it a little better to me? :)

I don't currently have my GF form up right now on a web page, I take it down when the submission periods are over to prevent the people who don't read from submitting outside the submission period.
    thanks!

  2. You will probably want to use a SMTP plugin to force WordPress to send email using SMTP using their relay server. There is a free SMTP plugin here:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

You will have to work with GoDaddy to configure it properly.
