Notification to Admin - Admin Label

  1. Hello

First of all Great Plugin! Now...

Because I have products with different sizes and they each require a quantity field for each size i Have set up the the product as such:

    http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/6264/plattersample.png

The title is a section break and the individual sizes is a product field

The problem is when a customer fills out the field the email sent pushes the size only ie (Small/medium or large)

To fix this i went into the product advanced settings for each 'size' and changed the admin label to (Fruit Platter Small)
    (Fruit Platter Medium)
    (Fruit Platter Large)

But the email that gets sent to admin still has the only the size

Is there anyway to fix/modify this?

    Cheers

  2. Hi Shonari,

    Two things...

    1) Currently, product fields are a bit complicated and do not support the Admin Label functionality in the way you are attempting to use it. I will look into how we can better support this.

    2) Just FYI, for other fields that you wish to use the admin label in the notifications, you'll want to use the {all_fields:admin} merge tag instead of the default {all_fields}.

  3. I added the shortcode {all_fields:admin} to the message field in the notification section but my emails keep coming in with the product description.

  4. Am I missing something? I have the field labels filled out but also specified the admin label then used the merge code: {all_fields:admin} and the emails still show up with the field label and not the admin label.

Also at the top of the email (before the table of results) is a list of all the product field titles

  7. It looks like you have found a bug on Gravity Forms. {all_fields:admin} doesn't seem to work with product fields. I am working on getting that fixed. Can you send me an email to alex@rocketgenius.com so that I can send you the updated plugin when it is ready?
Also, I am not sure I understand the following issue: "Also at the top of the email (before the table of results) is a list of all the product field titles". Could you take a screenshot and send it my way as well?

  8. I have sent you an email. I have also attached a pdf of the notification email I am getting

    Cheers!

  9. Just a heads up.... the {all_fields:admin} still does not send product field labels in the email notifications.

  10. @CaptClay I'm unable to reproduce what you are describing. When I use the {all_fields:admin} merge tag it is returning the label for the Product Field. I've tested using Single Product and Drop Down products with the same result, the label is returned by the merge tag as it's designed. Here's a screenshot showing an email sent using the {all_fields:admin} and a test form:

If you can provide more details, and some screenshots that would be helpful in determining if there is an issue somewhere. But nobody else is reporting this issue and this is a very old support thread.

I'm going ahead and closing this thread as it's an extremely old thread. If you are still encountering this issue, create a new support forum post and provide more details and screenshots.
