Notification to User

  1. Is there a way to change the notification to user, depending on a drop down menu?

I have two possible people to email to, but I can't see a way to change the message depending on who the message was routed to.

  2. The user notification is designed to go to the person submitting the form.

The admin notification is designed to go to whoever you want, including routing based on form field values like in your example above.

You would have to use the user notification. On the admin notification you select "Routing" from the Send To box and then use the UI to setup who it goes to based on a drop down value.

  3. The two people who receive the form are totally different so, for example, on the form, they have the choice of sending to Jace Hall whose site it is or to me if there are any website problems.

What I'd like to do is have a message from either jace or me, depending on who they sent the message to.

A bump on this thread, as it describes exactly what I am looking for.

I have 8 different departments. People choose which department they need from a dropdown menu in the form.

With GF it was a piece of cake to do conditional routing for the admin notification.

But I also want to use routing to send the confirmation email to the user.
The sender (+ senders emailaddress + reply address) should be either one of those 8 departments, depending upon which department the user chose in the form's dropdown menu.

Can you, Carl or someone else from the team, please explain how to go about to achieve this.
(I am not a pro but pretty confident and experienced when it comes to some custom coding.)

No need to look into this anymore guys.
Got it working by adding a filter and some custom code.

I will post my solution later when I have more time, so others can benefit from it.
