notifications - contact form

  1. Hello Gents,

Running into a fairly big issue on our end. The Contact Form on http://www.pixiehoops.com/contact/ is not sending the notification alerts to our company email as completed in the notification section. Logged on today and found 12 important sales questions unreceived and unanswered - please help! It took forever to copy all the info into email messages and send replies between the systems. We probably have one setting wrong... I ran a test message and notification was sent but the previous 14 or so were missing notification.

    Thank you in advance.

  2. Hi Pixie,

Without knowing your settings & related info it's just guesswork.

  3. Thanks Illutic,

Seems like after some digging it is specific to hotmail email addresses.
I just signed up for a hotmail account and confirmed there is some issue there.
I have WP-Mail-SMTP sending the mail from the site and it seems to work really well with all the purchase receipts sent out. People that fill in the contact form with any email address except the hotmail addresses = notification, but anyone filling in the form with a Hotmail address = no notifications - to the sender and to us!

I am not sure what settings the community needs to see to trouble shoot this.
    Maybe its a WP-Mail-SMTP situation?

    Thanks again,
who know there were that many hotmail adress holders ;)

  4. I take it back it is all the hotmail & gmail emails - somehow those are not being forwarded to our admin email as set up in the form. All other messages are coming through. Anyone have an idea how to adjust this to ensure all entries find their way to our inbox?

  5. Have you already installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and configured that? I did not understand your comment about that plugin. It is normally better than relying on the web server to deliver your emails.
