What you need to do is use a role management plugin and set a page as only being accessible by certain user roles, which would include a logged in user. Gravity Forms is not an access control or role management plugin so it doesn't have this functionality built in.
We recommend using this plugin:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/
It will allow you to lock down a page so that only logged in users can view it. You can then embed the form on that page.
I have a similar kinda question.. We want to use Gravity Forms for competitions, embeding it within a post. Is there a way to only show the form to those that are logged in?
Ideally we want to show the submit button to those who are logged in(members) or have a register link if they are not.
you might be able to use something like this..
http://www.livexp.net/wordpress/using-wordpress-shortcodes-to-show-members-only-content.html
put the form in the member section and the alternate content in the visitor section.
Gravity Forms doesn't do role management or access control. It just does forms. If you want to show or hide the form based on a users role or capability you will have to do so on the page or post level by using a plugin such as the one mentioned above that provides access control capabilities to WordPress.
Kevin - thanks, that worked perfectly.
Great. Glad that worked for you. I personally hadn't tested that yet so thanks for the update.
