Opinion Needed: Restrict polling to logged in users?

  1. Given the choice, would you prefer site users log in before they can respond to a poll or, leave it wide open to the public? What are the pros/cons?

    Thanks!

If I wasn't normally logged into a site, I wouldn't log in so I could just answer a poll. I'm sure many others would feel the same, and you wouldn't get many responses. My question to you would be, "are your visitors normally logging in?"

  3. The site I'm designing uses a membership plugin so I do enforce protected content. You make a good point however.
