Option not showing up for products

I cannot seem to get options to show up for products. I put in single product so I have the name and the price and the user enters quantity. Then I have color and wrist size options for each product and everything looks good on the backend but when I get the submission the color and wrist size options are not there.

Confirmed that all options are TIED to products and have tried checkboxes and dropdown with no change in current behavior

Pulled the latest plugin version (Version 1.5.2.8 ) from this site directly and FTP'd with overwrite on the files in case the auto upgrade failed in some way. Deactivated and activated and no impact.

Note: On conditional logic for these option fields the only fields I can conditionally work against are the option fields (select-able in the drop down). This is odd since I cannot make these options only show up when a quantity is set for a product like I would like to do but thats secondary at this point . I mention it here in case it may be a symptom or help identify an issue.

  4. The problem is the Price on your options are all blank. Set the price for each option to $0.00, which won't impact the Total and that will resolve your issue.

The Price can be blank because if you set the Price to blank and enable Values and set the Value to blank then that selection won't validate if the field is required, enabling you to create an option thats actually a placeholder that would say like "Select One..." or something similar. So it enables blank values. But if it's a real option it needs a price, even if that price is $0.00 which is a valid price. $0.00 is not the same think as empty/blank.

Interesting, I'll give that a shot but thats behavior I would have figured as default since the assumption is that the option doesnt cost anything beyond the product its tied to.

  6. Yes, we agree it's not obvious and in the next release we will be making $0.00 the default value for the Price field when adding the Option field to your form.

The issue is there is a difference between $0.00 and a empty/blank field for validation purposes. So it has to be able to support both.

I do still have the issue where I cant create conditional logic that will have color and size show only if the user enters a quantity. The conditional logic area for those controls only shows color and wrist and no other control from the form.

  8. Conditional Logic doesn't work on Quantity fields, which are text inputs. Conditional Logic only works based on selection fields (drop downs, multiple choice radio buttons and checkbox fields) because the selection triggers the conditional logic. So it's not going to work based on the quantity.

If you need to show those Options using conditional logic you would have to use a Product field that uses the Drop Down or Multiple Choice field type and then show/hide the options based on the Product selection. Then you'd have to add a Quantity Field to your form and tie it to that Product so there is a Quantity selection.

Confirming that the inclusion of $0.00 for those options has now got them reporting properly

  11. I'm in the process of converting from jotform to gravity forms and miss the ability to apply conditional logic based on whether a text field is empty or filled. It was a powerful tool and while working on just my first form I'm already missing it.

  12. @saintandrew It's something we'd like to add in the future but it's not something that will be in the 1.6 release. We are always improving Gravity Forms so i'm sure it is something we will incorporate eventually. Most likely when we revise the form editor UI to give us more flexibility and room to add additional options.
