Passing A Deposit Total to Paypal

  1. Does anyone have an idea of how to pass a fixed total from GF via the PayPal PI that could be charged as a deposit against an order that was totaled in the GF? I only seem to be able to pass the total from the pricing fields. I would like to calculate, display and store an order total and only charge a deposit.......the balance to be invoiced upon job completion.

  4. Hey guys, you can do this via the new calculation options in our Beta release:
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/gravity-forms-v1-6-4-beta-1-released/

I did a really simple, quick test here so you could see something visually:

In this example we have just a number field, a product field (that is set to calculation) and a formula to determine price Screenshot

This example takes 25% of the total price. Have fun experimenting!

    Hi,
Here is how we got this to work for us.

We created a radio button of a GF product with Pay Full Amount Now($0) and Pay $75 Deposit Now ($75).
    A) When Pay Full Amount is selected a conditional of GT product will show GF product options for people to select the weeks they want. These will be added to the total and passed through to paypal for payment.

    B) If Pay $75 Deposit is selected a conditional of GT checkboxes will appear for options. These are not GF products and do not get passed through to paypal. Only the $75 is passed through for payment. But with the form data we get notice of the items a person selects.

Hope that makes sense? It will work for our needs to allow someone to sign up for summer camps but only pay $75 now and be invoiced later.
