This just happened recently so it may be something with the update to Gravity Forms. I have a form set up that has a field with 3 radio buttons followed by another field with a custom entry. If the user fills out a custom dollar amount then clicks submit they are given an error message of "There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below." If they click submit again without changing anything the form is accepted. Neither field is set as required so I'm not sure what is causing the error.
