Paypal Donation: Monthly vs One-Time

  1. I have looked at several other forum posts and I did try to follow their lead but I am hung up with one issue:

    Site: http://chppromise.ca/donate/

This form will process to Paypal a recurring monthly donation but will not push a one-time donation through to Paypal.

    From this post:
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/donations-subscriptions-feeds-and-notifications
I created both a subscription and a donations Paypal transaction setting Paypal form in GF. This doesn't seem to have helped.

I welcome any suggestions. I am guessing I am missing one step but have exhausted my options.

    Thanks,
    David

  2. I was able to check the radio button to make a monthly donation of $10, and the radio button below was pre-selected "Monthly" so I was directed to PayPal.

However, when I tried "One-time donation" and entered an amount, I was just shown the confirmation message. The same thing happened if I selected monthly from the lower 2 radio buttons, and entered an amount.

It looks like the form is just set up incorrectly. It was also slightly confusing to me.

I'm having this same issue with "other" amounts. I created a radio button field with pre-defined amounts for donations -- $10, $20, $30, and Other. When the other is checked, I used conditional logic to show a product field that allows for user defined pricing.

The problem comes in when someone selects the Other amount using subscriptions. (I actually have four feeds: one time donation, monthly donation, quarterly donation, and yearly donation.) The feed are tied to radio button donation amount. It seems like if I want the other, user-defined price field, with a subscription, I may need an additional set of feeds for that?

Is anyone else using a simpler method for "other" donation amounts?

(Bonus points for this answer: How can I populate that user-defined amount in the notification email?)

  4. @peterash, please begin a new topic for your issue and include a link to the page on your site where the form is embedded.
