Paypal Option Field Bug

  1. I added an Options field using the Paypal plugin. I added Prices to the Different Options. (I'm using it to calculate shipping per item. Here's what it looks like setup:

When I use the form, before I select an item, everything works perfectly:

However, If i make a selection and then click again to change my selection. The prices are totally whacked:

It then adds that price to the total which makes it astronomical. If I select the first option, it resets and works ok until I make a selection again.

Any suggestions or is there a better way to calculate shipping per item?

    Thanks.

  2. Sounds like something else on your site is conflicting with the Javascript. We would need a link to the form where we can view/browser it in order to see it happening firsthand. Can't debug it from screenshots.

  3. I can't push it since it's on a live site. Do you know what kind of function would cause an issue? Here's an export of the actual form.

  4. The XML file you posted a link 2 contained 2 forms (Video Marketing Form and Contact Page Form) and neither of those contain pricing fields. Did you export the right Form(s)?

  6. Okay, I imported the form and viewed it via Preview and everything appears to work fine. I'm able to switch which options I select and the price is adjusted accordingly. See this screenshot:

What this means is in order to debug this we would have to see it in action on the site that is having the issue. Could you place it on a page that isn't linked to anywhere or on any navigation so that we could view the page?

Also if you go to Edit Forms and Preview that form do the calculations work properly?

  8. I was able to confirm the weirdness on this page
    http://www.shoemoney.com/directory/people/dev/

Using Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 on Linux.

It only seemed to happen to me if I made a selection in the first drop down (size) then I looked at the options in the quantity, but did not select anything. Looking at the quantities, the shipping prices appeared normal. Then, without having made a selection for quantity, I went back and changed the size, then when I went to select the quantity and the prices were crazy insane.

I only found this because I was trying to capture a screenshot of the quantity drop down before and after, and I could not get it to mess up, but it was because I had not selected a quantity. Until I selected a quantity, I could change the size as many times as I wanted and the shipping prices and everything all still looked normal.

I actually just noticed that if I just selected a quantity, then closed the select box, even without choosing a new product, the prices in the quantity options had changed as well.

Really bad screen capture of this happening:

(it's an ogv file so you may need to download it and play it with VLC or something if the browser cannot play it.)

  9. I'm using Chrome as well.

I tried reentering the prices to reset it, but same issue.

  10. I do see this issue happening, we will have to look into it. It appears to be a conflict with other code in your theme or possibly another plugin you are running. There is probably jQuery on the site that is interfering with this functionality.

I was able to import your form XML and import the form and interact with it on my test site without a problem. This issue didn't occur when I tested your form on my site so it is something specific to your site.

We will take a look at it and see what is going on with the jQuery. If we need additional information from you I will be in touch.

  11. @eddiemachado We noticed you are running an old development release of Gravity Forms v1.5. Before we do any more debugging on this you need to upgrade to the latest development release and then test. It could have been something that we have already fixed with the pricing fields because there have been many fixes implemented since the build this site is running was released.
