PayPal Pro gform_post_payment_status

  1. I'm looking to switch over some old PayPal add-on integration over to the new PayPal Pro add-on. For the most part, it's a simple gform_paypal >> gform_paypalpro text change on the filter/action prefixes. When it comes down to payment status though, that's not code that was included in PayPal Pro (as it stands today).

Can you add it to the PayPalPro set_payment_status method to match the PayPal add-on's usage?

Also, I don't see logging activated in PayPalPro, is that coming too?

  2. Scott, I flagged this for the developers to take a look at. Thanks.

  3. Scott,
Logging has already been implemented to our dev version, so that will be available in the next release. As far as the hooks, we haven't looked at it yet, but matching PayPal standard's hooks makes a lot of sense. We are also having some issue with our current PayPal Pro API and are looking into upgrading to their newer release, which is a significant change. I would recommend that you wait until then before moving from PayPal standard as things might change a little during this API change.

  4. Just checking back on this, since things are going to change, I'm thinking about modifying the plugin core itself to add the hooks I need, then when the new version comes out I'll remap my hooks (if my anticipated hooks are different from what they end up as).

  5. Is there any update to this issue? Are there any hooks in the paypal pro add-on? Are you still considering a major change to the plugin with an updated paypal api?

  7. What we are having to do with PayPal Pro is create a brand new plugin with their new PayFlow API. We will have to support both API's and PayPal doesn't provide any ways for us to automatically detect the correct API to use, so we are working on creating a PayFlow Add-On and basically leaving the current PayPal Pro Add-On as-is (since PayPal seems to be phasing out that product).

Scott, if you do decide to add those hooks, I would love to get the new version from you and would be glad to include them in the existing product.
