PayPal Pro Plugin - IPN for cancelling subscription not updating entry in GF

  1. I am testing subscriptions with PayPal Pro plugin.

    3 questions:

    1. I see recurring payments profiles created on the PayPal side. But it does not actually charge the first payment? Is there a delay before this happens?

    2. If I cancel a recurring payment profile on the PayPal side, the IPN fires (I can see in the IPN history), but the entry on the GF side doesn't seem to reflect that the subscription has been canceled. Since other GF payments work and creation of subscription profiles (with IDs showing in GF), I know at least that my PayPal IPN settings are correct. Any ideas?

    3. Can GF send an email notification to payee with each payment in a subscription? Would like to send a receipt each time.

    Thanks.

This is a key topic right here. Anybody have any answers to this. I noticed the others topic relating to Paypal Pro and IPN receipts etc has not been answered either. A workflow for this would be really valuable.

  3. I've asked the development team for their feedback on this one. Can you explain exactly what issues you are having in your installation? Thank you.

  4. We have corrected several bugs on PayPal Pro after this thread was created, so please make sure you are running the latest version of the PayPal Pro Add-On.

    Answering the questions:
1- The first payment is supposed to be collected immediately upon submission. (this was a bug and has been fixed)

2- Cancelling a profile is supposed to be reflected on the entry screen. PayPal Pro has a limitation with recurring payments that requires you to set your IPN URL to point to Gravity Forms. You can get the appropriate IPN URL by going to Forms -> Settings -> PayPal Pro. If you have the proper IPN configured and this is still not working correctly, let us know and we will look into it

3- You can use the "gform_paypalpro_post_ipn" to send notifications to payees.
