Paypal returning URL (Success)

  1. Hi,
I use the Paypal Addon and I see in the settings that I can choose a custom Cancel URL but I can't see any way to chosse a Success return URL to redirect my client to a custom "Thank You" page.
Do you know a way to do that ?

  2. The visitor will be returned to the page where the form was submitted from, and you can control their landing page with the confirmation settings for the form. Your options are Text, Redirect or Page (a WordPress Page.) That is how the visitor gets to your Success page: by setting the confirmation settings for the form.

  3. Hi

If I go to the form editor: Form Settings > Confirmation
And select 'Page', and then select a page.

Does that page get sent to PayPal and the purchaser is sent directly to that page. Or does PayPal send the purchaser back to where it thinks the form came from. And then GF pushes them onto the confirmation page?

  4. The latter. PayPal sends the purchaser back to where they came from on your site (where the form submission occurred), and Gravity Forms redirects them to the page you have set in the confirmation settings.

  5. Hi, I am using this PayPal Add-on and testing with my sandbox test account. Everything seems to work as it should; however; once I am directed back to website from the page where I left Gravity Forms is not executing the Confirmation settings as you indicate it should. I am using the "Page" confirmation settings directing to a wordpress thank you page. Any ideas? The confirmation works fine if disconnect it from PayPal Add-On.
    GForms version. 1.7.5
    WP version 3.5.1

  6. I'm no expert, but I think that if you use 'Redirect' instead of 'Page' that should work. I would be very interested to see if that works for you. Please let us know.

  7. Thanks for the tip unfortunately that does not work either. According to the thread this should work. I know it works fine with Cart 66 not sure why this Add-On will not work.
