    Is it possible to insert a message in to the form modal window whilst waiting for the page to load? Doesn't need to be animated, just to be polite.

    What form modal window are you referring to? Gravity Forms doesn't display the form in a modal. If you have implemented your own modal window to display a form then you would have to handle that in there, the form should load pretty quickly so it shouldn't be necessary but that is of course dependent upon your web server working quickly.
