plugin not recognized

  1. Hi guys,

When I upload the plugin and try to activate it, WP won't recognize the plugin at all. Nowhere the plugin is found. After editing the gravityforms.php and add the serial number WP does recognize the plugin, but when I activate it I get the following error.

    http://pastie.org/1198323

WP front-end ad backend won't work anymore and only show this message until I remove it form the plugins directory.

What am I doing wrong here?

  2. Most likely you just had a failed installation for some reason. The WordPress installer simply chokes from time to time so it's not uncommon. You shouldn't need to modify any of the core files for anything to work properly so I'm sure if you did that, that's the source of the error you posted.

I would manually download the latest version from the downloads page and install that via ftp into your plugins folder. Just remove the existing gravityforms folder completely and upload the new one.

Let us know how it goes.
