Plugins to style checkboxes, browse button etc..

  1. Hey team,

Is there a plugin playing nice with Gravity forms that automatically styles the appearance of checkboxes, radio buttons and the file browse upload button.

I had a look around for manually styling these elements but it seems to be quite difficult.

    many thanks

No, there currently isn't a plugin to style such things as far as I know. Gravity Forms was developed to integrate into your theme, and so if your theme has styles for this, Gravity Forms will take them into account, otherwise, you'll have to write custom CSS to do what you want.

  3. thanks David, the problem arises in particular from styling the File upload - browse button - making this compatible with all modern browsers.

Should I create a separate thread for this?

I have seen a related post in the forum but it was rather cumbersome and it didnt have step by step instructions.

No, let's keep the conversation going here. Can you tell me more about the issue please? Do you have an example link?

  5. I don't have an example link but you can easily see what I am saying.

If you use the "File Upload" button - then the Browse button which appears on the form is very hard to style due to different browsers specs.

I basically would like to replace the Browse button with an image of my choice.

  6. I have done a lot of extensive research and I think this solution might be the best option that works with gravity forms. I will test and let you know...

The file upload field is rendered slightly different by each browser, but that isn't a bad thing, nor one you should necessarily look to override and attempt to control. Here is an article about styling it:
