I understand you are searching for a solution for the plugin/language-files issue... a big one, btw... and that's why I maintain a /wp-content/languages/plugins-master-po/ folder.
But I feel you leave me with tied hands... I don't need to correct anything, I need another string instead... And to come here, ask for the po, wait for it, is not very practical...
I mean, it's my responsibility to keep track of the changes I do in some plugin .po files.
