pop-up form - how to

I remember seeing a post a few months ago that explained how to create a pop-up form, but for some reason I can't find that particular post right now...

Basically what I'm trying to do is have a small form pop-up when a button on the page is clicked... pretty straight forward.

Anyone have a link that explains how this is done?

    Thanks.

  2. You can search for "modal" and find several different topics here. I put together a demo a good while back using the FancyBox script. It may be a tad dated due to new versions of both GF & Fancybox, but the concepts should be the same.

  3. I used a gravity form in a modal on a blog recently (http://adii.me --> click Contact Me). I used a little bit of jQuery and the shortcode for the form. No need for a page template and it provided a bit more customization in where the box popped up. Is that similar to what you are looking for?

nms3, kind of similar, but not exactly... I just wanted more of a "light box" effect.

Kevin, thanks for the links. I noticed in your update to the guide you pointed out that the new ajax feature of GF makes embedding the form into a standard lightbox possible...

So... I simply stuck the GF shortcode (with the addition of "ajax=true") into the lightbox that came with my theme and it appears to work perfectly. Will play with it some more to just to make sure everything is working smoothly, but it looks fine right now
