Post Category dropdown does not work

  1. Hi.
I have created a form where it is possible to write posts from the frontend. The category dropdown does not work. It does not save for some reason.
It can be seen and tested here: http://naturoghelsebornholm.dk.linux43.unoeuro-server.com/min-konto/mine-blog-indlaeg/opret-rediger-blog-indlaeg/?postid=59
Normaly this page is for logged in users only, but I have removed that restriction for now, so you can test it.
I hope someone might help me.

  2. Hi again.
I found out that it this plugin that was the fault of the error.

The plugin is using deprecated functions.

Glad you figured it out and thanks for the update. It looks like the developer has provided an email address there for reporting bugs, you might want to drop them a quick email.

    Regards,
    Richard

  4. Hi Richard.

I have contacted the author, but i haven't heard from him yet.

I am struggling with the category dropdown. I cannot get it to display the selected category. I don't know if it is the plugin or Gravityforms plugin?

  5. When I print out $field['choices'] in the gform_pre_render filter hook it is empty for the category field. How come?

  6. I have tested now by disabling the gravityforms post edit plugin and am now instead trying to prepopulate the categories dropdown like so:

    It still will not work.
    Where is it going wrong?
