Post Fields: Category

  1. To whom it may concern....

Would like to know if it is possible to display the postfield: category as invisible within the front-end of the form so that the user doesn't have to select the custom category in a dropDown although they are posting to that particular category...

So we can setup the postfield: category in gravity forms, insert the category and just hide it from the front-end of the form...

In our case the user posts to a single category and it can look strange to them if they see a dropdown with the category although it is already selected.

  2. You don't have to use the Post Category field unless you are letting the user select a category.

You can set a default Category. this is available as an option on the Post Title and Post Body fields along with the default author and post status.
