PostcodeAnywhere integration

  1. Hello,

PostcodeAnywhere is a really useful service for checking not only addresses, but email validation (dns lookup) and payment validation.

At this moment, there are integrations with lots of CMS and e-commerce apps. Why is not Wordpress is the list? :) Well, I suppose that integrate their service with Gravity Forms makes more sense.

Please, please, let me know if there is any possibility of doing this.

    Thank you!!!

  2. Hi ArtGoddess,

Thanks for the feedback it’s good to hear you’re finding our services useful. We currently do not have a direct integration with Wordpress but there are a number of ways our services can be easily bolted into these kinds of platforms. I suggest looking at our JavaScript Web Client as this is the simplest method of integrating our service. Tutorials showing how to set up the Web Client as well as our other pre-built methods can be found here: http://www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk/uk-address-finder/how-to-implement.aspx. Alternatively, if you would like to create a slightly more bespoke integration you can hook directly into our Web Services which are fully documented along with code samples here: http://www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk/uk-address-finder/api.aspx.

Feel free to give our technical support team a call on 0800 047 0493 if need any further assistance with this.

    Thanks,
    Tom Gurney

    @ArtGoddess

I think I'm trying to achieve a similar thing to you.
I use gravityforms exclusively across the sites I produce but a client has recently asked for the ability to perform a postcode look-up to automatically fill in as many details within the gravity contact form as possible.

http://www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk looks like a great service - did you ever find a way to integrate the PostcodeAnywhere service with GravityForms?

Unfortunately my knowledge of PHP and delving into API's isnt good enough to do this single handedly....

If they cant be linked together via their API's I wonder if there's the possibility of using two forms on a single web page so that a slim PostcodeAnywhere form passes its variables into a gravity form?....

    cheers

By placing postcodeanywhere's javascript snippet (http://www.postcodeanywhere.co.uk/uk-address-finder/how-to-implement-web-client.aspx) into a gravity form html field) and then using their online wizard I've successfully integrated 'finding addresses by postcode' into a gravity form. It was actually very easy to to do and just required a little extra CSS styling on my part.

Now my gravity forms are a magnitute easier to use for website customers.

I'm a happy customer! (both gravity forms and postcodeanywhere).

    Cheers

  6. Hi - i know its been a year since you posted, ut are you able to share the code/way you managed to make the integration so someone like myself would be able to implement the same for a client who has asked for postcode lookup...

    thanks
