Pre-populate dropdown with custom query on table

  1. I have a custom table created in wordpress db that I would like to use to pre-populate a dropdown with. I have looked at all the similar topics and have not gotten it to work. I have tried the pre_render option and started very basic with only one text box on a form, then trying to get it populated with records from my custom table. Any suggestions?

  2. I will have one of our developers write up a tutorial for this and add it to our How To area of the Documentation.

  3. Let me know when this is available. Also - part 2, how can I update a 2nd field based on what is selected in the dropdown? Example:

Dropdown lists 5 products, product 1 is selected, paragraph text or HTML block is updated with the description of the product. The description is also coming from the DB.

  4. I am looking at a solution for the second part of this issue....

I have a set of dropdowns.
I want the textarea field to update with pre-determined text based on the dropdown.

Please note that this is a multipart form and dropdown is on page 1 and textarea on page 3
