Pre-populated values are lost when toggling conditional logic (demo available)

  1. We are pre-populating some data about our main product package, such as a quantity (1) and a discount option. This package info stuff is done with conditional logic depending on the main checkbox.

Should the customer not want *this* package, but wants the next Special Offer below, I give him the option to close all the main package fields with checkbox.

Problem is that when he comes back to main package and re-opens checkbox, my prepopulated quantity and discount radio button values are lost.

I doubt this is the way it's supposed to be, is it a bug or a feature?

I'm trying to figure out the same issue. I Have a prepopulated address field that starts hidden unless the user wants to edit the information and then when they toggle it open the information has been removed from the inputs. I checked to make sure it was there by turning the conditional logic off and also looked at the code and can see what the inputed values should be. Let me know if you're come up with anything. Thanks.

I would include the URL to the form, but it's a test site and there is a whole process to get there with login and password / registration. If you need some information please let me know.

Sorry I didn't see this message earlier. I was running the last version of Gravity Forms with the Current WordPress. I just updated the GravityForms and it now works. Thanks Rob

  7. Is that link above still valid for your demo purposes? Where can I go or can you point it out specifically on that page link you provided:

  10. I'm testing with FF12 and Chrome 19 beta, form exhibits the symptoms I'm describing in both browsers. What browser are you using?

See if you can view this screencast:

For some reason when I play this back in the browser (Linux), I get no sound. But downloading the MP4 has my voiceover on it, so see if you can get the full content either way. In the meanwhile I have discovered sound works in browser on both Windows and OS X.

  11. Gotcha, thanks for the video. I was able to replicate half of this on a simple, local form. Could you export this form and send the XML file to me to rob@rocketgenius.com so I can take a look. Also, reference this post in your email.
