Pre Sale question

  1. Before I purchase I would like to make sure it can do what I want it to do.

    1) our site has members area with contact information. I would like the members to be able to edit their own contact information along with a few custom fields via the site.

    2) I want to make sure the above info integrates with the member plugin so the info is being edited in one place and in one database.

    Thanks,
    Gail

  2. 1) Currently Gravity Forms only creates data, it doesn't allow users to edit data on the front end. It is possible to do this, but it requires customizations using the available hooks/filters to pre-populate the form and then overwrite existing data rather than saving new data. So it's not something it does out of the box.

    2) See above, it's only possible as a customization so how you implement it would be up to you. It would integrate with the Member plugin if you did it this way.

Or you could use Gravity Forms to create the user and then user another plugin, or the built in profile editor, to let them edit their information by storing the data as user meta using the User Registration Add-On (a Developer License only Add-On).
