Product Field Type Disabled

I assume I am missing something obvious... but why does the Product Field Type (single product, drop down, radio buttons, user defined price, hidden, calculation) get disabled after a form is submitted? If I want to make changes, I have to remove the product field and rebuild the form....

  2. I'll bring this to the attention of the development team to find out the reason.

  3. I received this response from the development team. I hope it explains why those fields are uneditable:

You can't change the type if the form has been submitted. The reason is that some field types are not compatible with the data stored by other field types, so if you changed the field type, existing entries would be "invalid".
