Pulling Data from Gravity forms to make a report

  1. I am in need of having a reporting program with gravity forms... I have a membership site where people log in referrals, they need to be able to check the following in some form of a data string when a report is run... it would be on a week to week basis per se:

Each referral forms has 4 spots we want pulled back into a report on a user basis... (there are more than four spots of data just we only want four from each referral form)

the person given the referral and giver of the referral, name of referral, date, dollar amount

    that is it!

I really could use this resolved this week!

  2. This isn't something Gravity Forms does out of the box.

You'd have to write custom code to query the Gravity Forms entry data and use code to return whatever it is you want to return using that data.

If you provide more details on what exactly you want to do, what data, how you want it returned, etc. We might be able to assist with more guidance on how to do this. But ultimately it's a customization so it would require custom code to fully implement.

  3. ok Great I totally understand that so here goes...

There are 5 fields of interest I would like to populate a report when ran (again these are provided by a user when they submit a referral form:

    1. The actual user who sends the referral needs to populate on the report
.2 the person they are actually sending it too (this is also selected in the original form via a drop down)
    3. The name of the person they are referring (this is something the manually type in)
    4. The amount of money the expected referral can net (this is an optional field that might not be returned every time as there may not be data to retrieve)
    5. the date (which this should be at the beginning and probably would span a date range..

SO it would a drop down menu to select a range of dates based on those date ranges and the report knowing who the user is (as they are logged in via wish list member and the referral form they fill out populates their business name based on a user display name configured in wordpress)

SO the form should know who the person is... be able to have dates selected for gathering the data and populate the fields mentioned in 1-5

hope that helps narrow it down

  4. Ok so you want an actual report generator, similar to our export entries tool? Where they select options and then it executes and returns the report as the results?

  6. Okay, this isn't something that we can provide for you via support. This isn't functionality that is built into Gravity Forms so the only way to implement what you want is as a customization. What it sounds like is you want a custom add-on created to provide this functionality.

You would have to create a custom plugin that provides this functionality and queries Gravity Forms entry data based on user selections in a search form. If you aren't familiar enough with how to developer a WordPress plugin then you would have to hire a WordPress consultant who is to assist you with this type of customization.
