Rebilling & Authorize.net plugin.

  1. I have some products that I would like to offer for a trial price, then after 30 days or so, if no returns, bill the remainder. For example, pay $9.95 get the product, and if you keep it after 30 days, be billed another $39.95 one time.

Will this be possible with the new authorize.net plugin?

  2. This wouldn't be rebilling, it would be Authorize.NET ARB (Authorized Recurring Billing). If your Authorize.Net account supports ARB, then use the Authorize.Net Add-On that is currently in alpha testing would allow you to do this.

You would set it up as a subscription with a Trial Period. Give the Trial Period a price of $9.95. After whatever billing cycle you setup (ex. 30 days) they would then be billed monthly for whatever the monthly price is for how many times you set the recurring time to be.

Please note that Authorize.NET ARB requires at least 2 recurring times to use ARB. So it doesn't support a trial period and then just one subscription payment. Unfortunately it requires at least 2 subscription payments as a minimum.

One option you could do is bill the $39.95 over 2 payments and split it up to have the required 2 recurring times.
