Recreate newsletter box on GF homepage

  1. Hello
How do I recreate the simple newsletter signup that is on the bottom of the GF homepage?
(I'm using Aweber but the Aweber add-on doesn't seem to do this)

    Thank you!
    Jeff

  3. There are two steps to it: you need to create a form, then you need to map the form fields to your AWeber list.

You need a simple form with one field, email address, and then you need to map the feed to your form field and select your list. We are using a Mailchimp list.

Do you need more information than that?

  4. Hey Chris. Yes, do you have more info on mapping the form fields to AWeber or MailChimp?
    Thank you for the direction!

When you have the add-on installed, you go to the add-on's page, and click Add New or Add Feed. Then you tell it which form fields go to the mail management system you are going to use.

  7. 1) it does not look like there is an email field in your form, as far as this page knows. You need to be sure you're using an email field, not a plain text field.

    2) the disappearing text is called placeholder text. You can use this 3rd party plugin to do that: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-placeholders/

    3) please see this http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/trouble-positioning-submit-button-inline#post-19798 to position the submit button
