Registered User Delete On Cancellation

I have setup a User Registration form - added a Paypal Feed and User Registration Feed, setup new users as Subscribers - everything works as expected - users are created on successful payment via PayPal. The form is setup for Subscription and Recurring Billing.

My problem comes with the cancellation process, once cancelled in PayPal they are still hooked up as Subscribers in WordPress - no change. In the form Entries they are initially marked as Active, once cancelled they are marked as Cancelled - but as far as WP is concerned they are unchanged.

I was expecting the user to be deleted on cancellation.

I have modified the field: Update user when subscription is cancelled - to Set User as Contributor - this works - so users are changed to Contributor once cancelled.

So my question is - can the user to be auto deleted on cancellation? And if so, how do force the deletion?

I have only tested this in the PayPal Sandbox so far, i have the cycle set to 1 Day.

  2. The User Registration Add-On currently only supports changing the users role after cancellation. It does not currently support deleting the user. You could certainly add this as a customization using hooks, however there are a variety of situations to take into account before simply deleting a user. If they have created any posts, etc. those would be tied to their user account.

However, because of features we plan on adding to the user registration add-on, deleting a user will eventually be unnecessary because you will be able to update existing users as well as create new ones once we release enhancements to the user registration add-on that we are working on.
