Request for a case study: Visit New Zealand´s "Add your own article"

    Hi All!
I have found an amazing travel site for travellers intersting in visiting Australia. http://www.newzealand.com/int

They have received quite a lot of attention for letting their users to admit their own stories using a form. On various places on the website there is a button called "Add your own article" which trigger a form in a modal window. (You need to sign up to be able to submit your article.)

I am wondering if this can be done using Gravity Form Post Fields.

If this is possible with GF I think it could be a great case study to write a How to article.... If this is not on your agenda I kindly ask you for some guidance for:

    1. How to trigger a multipage form in a modal window? (I have Lightbox Evolution plugin)
    2. How to intergrate Google Map into a field so that the user can pick the location of their story.
    3. How to let the user embedd Youtube and Vimeo videos or upload a video of maximum of X MB.

Which Post field do I use for each?

    Superhappy for tips and tricks!
    Best regards,
    Sammet

  2. This is definitely possible and we know users have implemented Gravity Forms in a modal window. We also had a tutorial that explained how to do this, although i'm not sure if it's 100% compatible with the latest versions of the scripts being used. But you can find it here:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/creating-a-modal-form-with-gravity-forms-and-fancybox/

We do plan on making an Add-On that will enable forms to be embedded in modal windows using a shortcode in the future.

That was great! Thanks for answer.

But what about the Google map option?

I am also wondering how to intergrate the video upload. Images have their own Post field....
I dont want the video to be published within the post itself. I just want to give the users a video upload option.

Could this be done with advanced field file upload?
If so - can I then collect the video/s in the WP admin area?

Or do you suggest another workaround?

    Thanks for help again!
    Best regards
    Sammet

  6. While Gravity Forms currently doesn't have a video specific upload field you can certainly use the Post Custom Field set to a field type of File Upload and allow them to upload a video with the full path URL to the video stores as the value of the custom field. You can then configure your theme so that this custom field value is displayed in your theme. The File Upload field type can be used to upload any type of file. It just isn't added to your Media Library. Only the Post Image field currently does that.
