Required Fields

  1. I'm missing the part that forces a selection upon the user beyond what appears in the field by default. I have a list of dog breeds in alphabetical order. When the forms loads the breed "Affenpinscher" will be selected if they don't pick otherwise as it fills the field. Do I just insert a blank and the form then knows a required field has not been selected?

  2. Yes, what you can do is when editing your drop down do this...

    - Edit your drop down
    - Check the Enable Values checkbox
    - Make the first drop down choice label say "Select A Breed" and leave the value for that empty/blank.

Now if you have set that field to Required, and the option select has a blank value... it won't validate. So it will force them to make another selection. As long as the other selections have values, they can then select another choice.
