Required Fields

  1. When you try to submit this form without a required field the pages just refreshes.

I am using a html snippet of the form code instead of the short code because of the way the page was designed if that has anything to do with it?

    Thanks Scott

  4. What does this mean?

I am using a html snippet of the form code instead of the short code

Did you grab the output of a rendered form from a WordPress page and page it into a post or page? If so, that will not work. It might work if you enqueue the Gravity Forms scripts. Please see here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Gravity_form_enqueue_scripts

However, the way you are using Gravity Forms is not supported. If you have to resort to pasting the output of the plugin into a post or page to make it work, something else is wrong. It might be better to get the plugin working correctly, embedding the form with the shortcode or function call, that working around it as I think you have done here.
