Responding To Form Submissions

  1. One of the nice things about the Contact Form 7 plugin is that when a form was submitted on the site, the notification along with the body of the message was emailed to me. From within my email client, I could click on respond and the email address to respond to would be the person who submitted the form along with their body text in quotes. In GravityForms, I don't know how to accomplish the same task. When I respond to an email, the email gets sent to myself since the sender of the notification is my own email address. Could someone direct me on how to respond to contact form submissions from my email client?

  2. - Go to Edit Forms

    - Hover over the form you want and select Notifications

    - Turn on the Admin Notification if it isn't already turned on

    - For the Admin Notification, Configure the From Email to be the Email Address field on your form by leaving the From Email blank and then selecting a field from the Select an email field drop down. See this screenshot: http://grab.by/72FN

    - For the Admin Notification, Configure the Subject, you can use the Insert form field drop down to insert form field values. For example see this screenshot: http://grab.by/72FT

    - For the Admin Notification, Configure the Message of the email for the message you want to appear. If you just want it to send you all the entered information in a nice pre-formatted layout select the All Form Fields item from the Insert form field drop down just above the form body message area.
