Shipping based on quantity.

  1. Since this functionality doesn't seem to be included in Gravity Forms, I decided to try and make it work with some jQuery. The only problem I've run into is that now my shipping field won't validate on submit.

    Product Cost: $20
    Shipping Cost(per item): $3.50

    2 Items: $47 Total

    Working example: http://homesoflove.org/give/2011-christmas-cards/

Everything works until you submit the form and it tries to validate. Any ideas on working around this issue? It would be great to have this functionality built in.

  2. Can you make the shipping field "not" required? Does it get past the validation at that point? I'm guessing it will, but then you might not have the value to use in your form.

Could you make the shipping an "option" for the boxes of cards? Selecting shipping adds $3.50 per box, selecting no shipping does not add any cost.

  3. Okay, making shipping an "option" instead of "shipping" seems to work, in this case. I still think the "shipping" field could be improved quite a bit.
