Shortcode editor won't load.

  1. Hi, love the plugin, but in trying to get the short code editor to load, i just get the progress bar loading forever. Tried disabling all plugins, tried on the twenty theme, and tried both on a local machine and the server.

I realize i can add them manually, but I'm handing off this site to a large user base and would hate to have to explain the short code attributes/etc..

Thank you for any help you can provide.

  2. I'm having a similar problem. I've uninstalled/reinstalled both my wordpress and the plugin. I have no other plugins installed. Also using the basic Twenty Ten theme (which is supposed to work), and the wysiwyg editor isn't loading properly at all. I can make forms, but i can't ember them into posts/pages. My client is breathing down my neck, and no-one is helping.

Administrators, is it possible that the latest gravity forms download is buggy? Just a thought. Please help us.

  3. Yep, sounds like the same boat I am, but remember you can add them manually. http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Embedding_A_Form

But again, need to get the modal view working.

  4. Hi jjcall

Thank you so much for that. Helps a lot. Really appreciate it.
There has to be a bug with the plugin. Hopefully they will send us the updated version, as my client will also need to update the form at some stage.

    Cheers.

  5. @Panikmaccus,

The latest release version of Gravity Forms ( 1.5.2.8 ) is stable. It's been out for a while and if there were widespread problems embedding forms you can bet we would know about it and would have corrected any issues. You have something else going on that we need to identify.

When you say the "wysiwyg editor isn't loading properly at all" are you talking about the actual WYSIWYG editor above the post content area, or are you talking about the modal window that pops up when you click on the "add form" icon above the WYSIWYG editor? Those are 2 different things entirely and we need to be clear so we can help debug your issue.

Also, as I've mentioned in your other posting, we're busy helping several other people and you're in the queue. We've responded to your other query but still have priority support requests that take precedence. I understand it's important to you and we'll be happy to help all we can as soon as we can. Your patience is appreciated.

  6. @jjcall

This is usually a script conflict in the admin where another plugin is outputting script on pages it shouldn't be. Have you already tried testing for plugin conflicts on your site?

  7. Hi Kevin

Sure, no worries i understand you have plenty other requests to attend to.

To answer your question, the WYSIWYG editor i'm referring to is 'the one above the post content area', yes. There is an error there preventing the 'modal window that pops up when you click on the "add form" icon above the WYSIWYG editor'

Sorry just have a lot of pressure to get the form out.

I understand completely. I just wanted to reassure you that we do want to help. Can you go ahead and send us an admin login via our contact form so we can take a look? That should help us speed up the debugging process.

  10. @jjcall,

I answered your previous post. Have you tested for a plugin conflict yet?

  11. The typical cause of the shortcode wizard not working is browser cache. The browser caches the post editor and doesn't load the new scripts associated with the Gravity Forms shortcode wizard. What you need to do is completely clear your browser cache, completely, and then restart your browser and try again.

  12. @kevin, @carl

Did both above, cleared cache and removed all plugins, themes etc.. and can't get the short code editor to come up.

  13. Jason,

Did you say you already sent an admin login via the contact form? If so, I'm missing it. Can you re-send so we can take a look at your issue? Please reference this thread URL too se we can refer back to it.
