Show empty fields in edit?

I'm just getting used to the Gravity Forms interface.

A couple of days ago, I discovered the Entries > View > Edit and the "show empty fields" check box.

What I remember was that fields that show up in the downloaded data but not in the form (like Payment Amount, Payment Date) were available to edit when the "show empty fields" was checked.

But this evening those "extra" fields are not showing up in the Edit form. Am I just misremembering? or is something else going on? I really don't remember making any changes to the form.

  2. I've never seen the payment details on the edit page when you check "show empty fields". The payment detail fields can be included when you export the entries, however.

Did you figure out what it was you had previously seen?

Okay, so maybe I'm thinking of the Export Entries screen where all the extra fields appear. I'll open another ticket to better describe the actual problem.

Oh. I think I've figured out the "Gravity Forms" way to get "extra" fields to edit after the form is submitted.

Simply add fields to the form and mark them "Admin Only" on the Advanced tab when editing the form field.

Then when "show empty fields" is checked on the "View Entries" they show up and can be modified in the "back end".

  5. That's correct. If you want an empty field in the admin for you to be able to edit later, adding a field with admin only visibility is the way to do it.

  6. Im not seeing that the fields are editable. With 'admin only' checked and with 'show empty fields' marked. Any help?
