showing category hierarchy using drop down,

  1. Hi

So we have many categories with 7 main cats and over 100 subs under those categories See http://www.adszoom.com we want to show the category hierarchy in the drop down of the form but after reading the 1 post about it we learned you can’t and will have to used 2 categories fields 1 being a sub using Conditional Logic . the question

If i set up the first categories drop down with only the top level

JOBS, PERSONALS,HOUSING,SERVICES,COMMUNITY,FOR SALE and LOANS / MORTGAGES / INSURANCE

how do i set up the sub categories to show for only the chosen top category’s ? for example:
if they pick jobs we only want the subs for jobs.

I know we have to assign a value to the top categories but im not shore how or where to add the value ? then if you add a rule for each? will it only show those subs for the top cats or will i have to have 7 hidden sub cats drop downs 1 for each top category ?

can you give me instruction on set up? and dose the Conditional Logic work on all browsers?

  3. Hi

Ya if you choose the " show all " categories in the form editor it will show them the way i have it set up now. Please see the form on http://www.adszoom.com it looks perfect with ober 100 categories very easy to navigate and works all the way back to ie6 . This set up avoids any special need for script that may not be supported by older browsers like ie6 witch believe it or not lots of hospitals and such still use.
