Simple form not functioning

  1. Hi. I have a one field form that is supposed to pass data via query string to another form, on another page.

For whatever reason, it just doesn't work. It's at http://www.highlifegourmet.com (temp URL)

I've checked over everything and I can't figure it out. It's not a required field (zip code), so even if you just clicked the "submit" button, it should still take you to:

    http://highlifegourmet.com/arizona-mortgage-application/

which I tried both as I have it above and like so:

    http://highlifegourmet.com/arizona-mortgage-application/index.php

My other forms work fine... And this one was working a couple of days ago. I have no idea what changed, other than the style sheet.

    Thank you in advance.

  2. The quickest way for us to look into this issue would be via an admin login to look at your forms settings. If you provide us with a WordPress admin login and let us know which form isn't redirecting properly we can take a look at your form settings and see what is going on. You can send this information to us via our Contact Us form and reference this forum post.

  3. Super. I'll do that right now.

  4. It is definitely something theme related that is preventing the redirect from happening. So it's a theme javascript issue related to using AJAX.

What I have done is set the ajax option to FALSE on the shortcode used on that page so that form doesn't use AJAX. It doesn't really need AJAX anyway because it's unnecessary for that type of form implementation. The redirect is working properly now.

If you have problems using ajax on other forms on that site let us know and we can investigate further. But it was your theme causing the issue.

    Hello Carl

I am having a similar problem. On the home page I have a form in the sidebar that should redirect to another page with some of the content from the sidebar form to that other page to continue. I have read through how to pass data onto another form. Checked double checked and triple checked but it is not redirecting. The sidebar form is on transferci.org and it should redirect to transferci.org/transfer-rezervasyonu/ ... Will you be able to tell if I have done something wrong or missed doing something from the source codes? Your assistance is much appreciated. Thank you.

  6. Hi Marmaris,

Try testing for a theme or plugin conflict:

Thank David for your reply. I have concluded that its not the theme (I'm using Platform Pro). I disabled the plugins and checked to see what the result would be. I received this message after filling out and submitting the first part of the first form - expecting it to redirect:

Warning: Header may not contain more than a single header, new line detected. in /home/transfer/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/form_display.php on line 75

Please advise if possible as to what I might have done wrong. Thank you again.

I also wanted to add that I did the same on this website and it works fine. marmaristransfersservice.com ..... Do you think that there are too many fields with this site's forms? But I need those fields using the conditional logic so that it shows the airport transfer prices based on what the visitor selects.

Well its been over two weeks and I am saddened to say that I have had no answers after sending the login information that was requested from me via email in order to take a look at my problem. I realize that I am 8 hours ahead in time zones but I think that it would not take this long for a resolve or answer.

I am posting my error here with the hopes that someone might assist or tell me why I am getting this message. Thank you in advance.

  14. @marmaris If you sent the request to David Smith he is currently traveling out of the country and has unexpectedly had limited internet access. Resend the login information along with a full description of your problem via our Contact Us form and I can take a look at it.

Unfortunately after having not received a reply and sending numerous emails with reference to this thread and an explanation of the problem and my client's website admin details, I have had to pay a programmer to code these forms for my client's website. The last email I sent was to your email address, Carl Hancock on June 23rd. Prior to that I sent it to your email again June 17th and June 18th. :(

ıt's too late now. I have paid the programmer out of my pocket.

  16. @marmaris Where did you send the information? I just searched my GMail which is where all my mail goes and I can't find anything under your email address. I apologize, I would have definitely looked into it had I received the email. Unfortunately with the support volume that we have I can't follow up with every request for information if I don't receive the information via email, so when situations like this happen and I don't receive the email then it can slip through the cracks.
