Some forms work, some forms don't

  1. Hi there,

We're using the iNove theme (yes, I know...planning a big shift next year), and when I upgraded Gravity Forms, some of our forms stopped working. Some still work though. I have deactivated all the plugins to check for conflict, switched to Twenty Eleven, downgraded to the older gravity forms...and still, the problem persists.

    Please help!

Most of our forms are used in-house and are set to private, but here's a public one:

So did all of the forms work until recently? Which version of Gravity Forms and WordPress are you using?

When I inspect the page with Google Chrome, and go to Console, it shows a bunch of "failed to load" messages including some for Gravity Forms.

  4. Right now we're using WP 3.5 and GF 1.6.1. When the problem started, we were using the previous version of WP and the latest version of GF. And I down graded the theme to the previous version, iNove 1.4.5.

Yes, but for some reason, things like http://www.bloorgroup.com/wp-content/plugins/gravityforms/js/gravityforms.js?ver=1.6.10 aren't loading. It just 404's. Can you check to make sure that file exists, and look for the source of this issue please?

  6. That specific file is not in the GF folder. Just .../js/gravityforms.js.

Here is a link to a form that does work: http://www.bloorgroup.com/contractor-engaged/

I have no idea what is causing the issue. I did the first GF upgrade from WP, then downgraded via FTP, then installed the new version via FTP. Maybe something went wrong there?

Are you running a caching plugin of any kind?

  9. Yes, W3 Total Cache.

Can you clear the cache and then disable it? You might be having issues due to the cache.

  11. No, that didn't work.

I'm still unable to bring up the page you linked me to, and I get a 404.

  14. Sooooo, any ideas?

It's possible you can't view the Contractor Engaged form because the page is set to private. However, oddly, and probably related, I am unable to change the visibility of the page.

  15. On the contractor engaged page, it returns the same 404s as above, with this additional GF-related error:

    http://www.bloorgroup.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/js/jquery.cycle.all.min.js?ver=2.9995

Yet the form displays and functions.

I'm sorry, but the errors you are experiencing aren't Gravity Forms errors currently. You need to sort out the file issues you currently have. I would suggest going through our normal troubleshooting steps first:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Testing_for_a_Theme/Plugin_Conflict

To see if that helps at all, but something has gone wrong with your caching or something that has lead to this problem. You might need to look at a PHP error log to see what is going on, or go in through FTP and remove the cache if it wasn't truly deleted. There are too many other errors to even begin working on Gravity Forms.
