I tried to update my plug-in via automatic upgrade and it failed and deleted the plug-in altogether. I suppose there is no way to recover my forms? I that I have to reinstall the plug-in? Or if I restored a back -up of my site would the plug-in be there with the saved forms?
Also can you email my license key? As I have misplaced it
Hi Kathy, sorry for the trouble. The forms and all the entries are stored in the database so those are not lost. Please be sure the plugin folder gravityforms is completely gone, then install the plugin manually via FTP. You can download a copy here.
When you reinstall, since the license key is in the database, it should still be there. If it's not, you can always retrieve the key from this page.
I would not restore from a backup if the only thing that happened was a failed plugin update.
