Strange large gray area in my email notification

  1. Since switching themes (just a Genesis child theme) when I get my email notification, there is this huge gray area that wasn't there before (screenshot: http://www.bobwp.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/gravityformsbobwp.jpg ) It happens no matter which form I use on my site e.g.. http://www.bobwp.com/seattle-wordpress-onsite-training/

I know it isn't a huge problem as I only see it, but just kind of bugs me : )

    thanks

  2. Sounds like there is a plugin or theme conflict. Please begin troubleshooting by following these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing

There was a related topic with your exact problem. It was a theme conflict in that case.

  3. Yeah, was wondering that... I did deactivate the plugins, and nothing there. Actually activated the theme and GF on another test site, and nothing there. So it appears its a combo of a plugin and the theme... so something to work on later... guess it's not that big of an issue as I'm the only one seeing it.

  4. If you are not worried about it we won't worry about it. Gravity Forms is not adding the additional markup to the notification email. It's normally that a plugin or the theme is processing the output from Gravity Forms and adding their own markup. If you look at the source of a notification email, it probably has a bunch of empty paragraph tags outside the table markup.

  6. Okay, I was actually over on Studio Press trying to figure this out. I changed out themes, replaced a few things etc... then it was detective work with the plugins. Crazy thing I kept all my add-on GF plugins active as well. Finally after sometime found out it was the poll add-on that was doing it. Deactivated it and it's working fine now...

Oh, and just to let you know the peeps over at StudioPress was wondering if it was Genesis conflict. So I did another test using Twenty Eleven theme and it happened with that one as well. So it appears to be a problem with the Poll Add On... at least that what it seems...

  7. @bobwp, I did not realize this was related to the Polls add-on. The developer has implemented a fix which should be released soon. If you send me an email at chris@rocketgenius.com I will try to get the copy for you beforehand.
