Originally, I was going to come here and post that I was receiving four notifications per each submission. Before I did I tried the form myself (again) and found that when I clicked the send button the little swirling icon just turned and turned. In the meantime I received my message—just one. My hunch is theses issues are somehow connected. Perhaps people re-click the button three times (seems odd they would choose the same amount of times though, doesn't it?).

So, i have a contact form set up. I am running up-to-date versions of Gravity, Headway, and WordPress using Safari. I have not checked what browsers the other people were using. The form seemed to work for me several days ago when I first made it. I have updated the page and form css a little since then (more work still has to be done on the page). I am using a temporary sub-domain address right now before making the site go live. Right now it is at blog.gardensare.com/contact/ If someone could take a look and help me find the gremlin that is causing this I would appreciate it.

  2. There appears to be an issue with AJAX on your site, possibly a MOD_SECURITY firewall issue. try turning AJAX off on that form, AJAX isn't necessary for this type of form and it is an optional feature. It appears you have it turned on. Edit that page and remove AJAX=TRUE from that shortcode, then test the form.

Great, I edited it to be AJAX=FALSE and then just removed the AJAX reference altogether. Now the form goes through pretty quickly but leaves me with a blank page. I didn't have that before. Is it supposed to be that way?

Where might the firewall issue reside? I do have a couple security plugins installed. Or might it be something with the server itself?

  4. I just tested your form and submitted it, it appeared to submit fine and displayed the thank you message. See this screenshot: http://grab.by/a6Hc
