Tabbing between fields and editor not working

  1. We are dealing with several issues with Gravity Forms on our site. We just upgraded to the newest version of the plug-in. Hoped that would fix the problem but it didn't. Now we can't even edit forms in the Form Editor. Verified this problem in both Firefox and Chrome browsers.

Our bigger problem is that tabbing between fields is not working on our Gravity forms. The forms are located here:

    http://www.localbitekc.com/register/
    http://www.localbitekc.com/advertiser-registration/
    http://www.localbitekc.com/seller-registration/

These pages only have one form on them. The forms do use some advanced fields.

    There are two problems happening.

    1) If you tab from the first field, it send you to the bottom of the page. It does this even after we change the order of the fields.
    2) If you start with the second field, you can tab to other fields, but after address field 2 the tab action goes nowhere.

We've looked at our style sheets and there don't appear to be any issues there.

Actually, all of those pages have two forms on them. You have one in your footer. If you change the tab index of that form (if it is a widget, the tab index control is in the widget controls) to a number higher than the maximum number of fields in your body forms, it should resolve your issue.

  3. Thanks, David. We figured that out shortly after posting this. We thought we only had one form on those pages, but had overlooked the newsletter sign-up form in the widget footer.

We are still seeing an issue where you can't tab from Address 2 to the next field.

Also editing doesn't seem to work for Form Editor.

  4. I was able to tab from the Address 2 to City field on all three of your forms.

If you cannot edit the form in the form editor, please being by checking for theme and plugin conflicts http://rkt.gs/testing and also please check the server resources to see how much RAM PHP has available for your site.

  5. Could our inability to edit the form have something to do with the latest version of Gravity Forms needing to be using something more recent than WordPress 3.4.2? Editing was working fine with the older version.

Confirmed that we could tab between Address 2 and City when using Internet Explorer.

  6. It is possible there is an incompatibility between the jQuery version in WordPress and that required by Gravity Forms, or some other JavaScript error. I would always start by updating to the latest versions of the software, so long as you your theme and plugins are compatible, then check for theme and plugin conflicts if you still cannot edit the form.
