The "Switch Form" down arrow offers no options.

When using your “demo” to practice creating a “Contact us” form, I’m given the option under “Switch form” to pull up your premade Contact us form (along with 13 other options).

However, when I attempt to do the same thing in my WordPress dashboard, my “Switch form” down arrow doesn’t bring up any of the 13 choices I had when using your demo. How do I access your premade “Contact us” form?

    Thank you for your assistance.

  2. There are no forms included with Gravity Forms. You have to create your own. On the forms menu, click the "New Form" link. It will be this link, but for your domain:

I purchased this product on the basis of your demo, which clearly gives the impression that buyers can access and modify a premade "Contact us" form by clicking the down arrow of "Switch Forms." I do not remember seeing any sort of buyer beware warning anywhere on your site that this was unique to the demo.

If I have to compose every form from scratch, where do I find such elements as the "Captcha," or the "submit" button? I didn't notice any such choices on the right side of the "New Form" screen.

  4. I would have to disagree that "clearly gives the impression that buyers can access and modify a premade 'Contact us' form". Nowhere does it state that pre-made forms are bundled with the plugin. Now that is something we may choose to add in the future, but it was simply an assumption on your part. The demo forms were created beforehand because the "save form" functionality is disabled on the demo itself to prevent spammers from misusing the demo script.

The submit button is automatically added to your form and not displayed in the form builder. Settings for the submit button are located in the first panel along with the other form-specific settings. The Captcha fields are added by clicking on the "captcha" button on the bottom left of the "advanced" panel on the right. You must have missed it.

Thank you, Kevin, for your well-worded reply. I broke my own rule of waiting 24-hours to fire off an e-mail when I'm upset about something. I always regret doing so ... as I sincerely do this time!

  6. No worries, thanks too for your reply. Your point was definitely taken into consideration. I plan to revamp the demo site soon and it might help to have some additional content there to help explain the purpose and scope of the demo, etc.

We do plan on creating a few pre-built forms that will either be part of the download/setup in the future or at the very least a repository of pre-built forms that you can download and install to get started with.

  7. Also, @thegoodfox, creating forms is REALLY easy and one of the best things about using Gravity Forms. In no time, you will be looking for reasons to create new forms. Create your first form with whatever elements you want in it, save it, then preview it. In two minutes you have a form and a better idea already of the things Gravity Forms can accomplish. For complex forms, I agree, a form repository is a good idea to save some time. For a simple form though, I suspect you can get a contact form online in less that five minutes. And we are always happy to help guide you where you need it. Please let us know.
