Hi there, I'm having the same issue, it wasnt giving me this error at the beginning of the form creation, but as I started adding additional fields and previewing the form, thats when I noticed the error.

The field causing this error is a Single line field labeled as "Username" which I added manually.
Meanwhile, using the Addon User Registration, its automatically including the fields First Name and Last name, yet in my main form, I didnt use those fields as I only required the Username field.

Thinking that this was probably the root cause of the issue, I went back in my created form and add the Name field which populated the First and Last name fields, yet I keep getting the error that the Username field is empty when I have a name in there.

Any updates or workaround for this error?

    Update with a fix:

So I went back and removed the manually created Username field, keep in mind I'm using the Addon User Registration as well.

After deleting the Username field and saving the form I created, I went back and readded a Single Line Text field and labeled it "Username", the bonus in this one is the appearance of the checkbox "No Duplicates" which didnt show up the first time, so this was great cause indeed it validated the form upon submission and indicated the username was already registered - GOOD!

Meanwhile, went back in the Addon User Registration to make sure the Username (required) (?) field was set to my created Username field and tested = successfully recognized an existing username and displayed the error.

Not sure what happened here, either I chose the wrong Standard field for the Username initially, or this step of deleting and reinserting the field was required to adjust the form functionality.

Its working now, thats all I know :)

  7. I am also having this issue. I will attempt to replicate the fix above but would also appreciate a followup from the developers if the cause is discovered.

    Thanks,
    Kerry :)

  8. OK, so I was able to replicate the above fix. Must have been a leftover from the beta version?

  10. There have been several bug fixes to the 1.5beta release of the User Registration add-on. Because this topic began so long ago, I will close this. Please create a new topic if you are having current issues you would like assistance with.
