Ticket Support System

  1. Hi All,
I just wondered if anyone had successfully used GF to create a Ticket Support System?

I am looking for basic functionality, but a system that would enable users to submit support questions and were allocated a "Ticket Number" so an issue can be tracked, long term.

Any ideas/suggestions or functionality already available?

    Thanks

  2. Really!?
    Nothing on this?
No one else trying to do it?

I have just seen a new Ticket Support plugin on CodeCanyon (http://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-email-ticket-support-plugin/254823) but am reluctant to add another plugin when we must be able to assign an individual number to a Gravity Form Submission!?

    Anyone?

  3. I'm not aware of any advanced implementations. A Ticket Number could either simply use the Entry ID which is unique, or you could generate a longer unique ID using PHP and store it in a hidden field when the form is submitted.

We use Gravity Forms ourselves for our Priority Support, but we don't treat it as official tickets. There is no reason why you couldn't do so if you really wanted to, although it depends on what functionality you are going to want as far as being able to look up ticket status, etc.
