Unable to save new gravity form

    Hi there,
I have done a fresh install of Gravity Forms (just purchased license and downloaded today, so latest version). I've registered it and pasted in the license key and the public and private key for the ReCapcha.

I am unable to save a new form. I receive this error: "There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team." I have followed the instructions to eliminate both theme and plugin conflicts. I create a new form, modify the title of the form to 'test' (without the quotes) and try to save. I add one or two blank new fields and try to save. I get the same error message each time.

Please advise how to resolve this. I have Wordpress v 3.2.1 and gravity forms 1.6

Could you send me a WP login to your site so I can take a look at this for you? :)

  4. I'm getting this same error. I've tried disabling all other plugins and using the Twenty Ten theme to no avail. I've got my key entered (though no Recaptcha key as I don't use that service on my site).

I just get "There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team."

  5. I am getting the same issue, has this been solved yet?

  6. I contacted support directly via the Contact Us link when you're signed in and they simply uninstalled / reinstalled and it got it working for me, so you may want to try that!

  8. Hey guys,

I'm also getting this error. Bought GF Dev license few days ago, this is my first time using this particular version.

Will I create a new thread for my issue?

I got username/password at the ready if you want to message me.

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I have multiple sites on the same server running Gravity Forms. A new install would not save. Guidance is appreciated.

  10. Are all of you running the latest version of GF (we released a version update today via automatic updates)?

Have you also tested for theme/plugin conflicts yet?

You could also check on your PHP Memory limits to see about allocating more:

I'm having the same issue on a brand new wordpress 3.3.1 site, with no themes or plugins installed. I just downloaded and installed GF 1.6.3.2. I'm getting the same error when trying to save my first form. (I also deleted it and created a new one, but still have the problem).

I also tried increasing memory to 128 MB.

UPDATE: Uninstalling 1.6.3.2 and installing 1.6 seems to fix the issue for me.

  13. I am also having the same problem. I created a new form and when I go to save it, get
There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team. However, when I go back and click on New Form, the one I created shows up?

  14. Hi there,

Brand new install as well, with exactly the symptoms that lisalucas describes above.

    Assistance much appreciated.

  15. Yes, form settings stay in the cache it seems.

Support team: I'm on Wordpress up to date, twenty ten theme, no other plugins, and it doesn't work. GF 1.6.3.2. Tried re-install, re-download, no luck. The server is running on a local apache server, but is accessible through dyndns.

Please contact me, i need to run the website as part of an intranet next week for an interactive public showcase. Thank you!

  16. For clarification: install on a blank Wordpress install, no plugins for conflict, using 2010 theme, does not save.

  17. Just bought my GF, and it is up to date, tried deactivating all the other plugins, still getting the can not save form contact support. I tried it on two different sites, I bought the developer version, I paid a buck 50 for this, I would like it to work. Any Ideas, I see that this seems to be a problem for everyone?

  18. I am sorry, but for you to suggest for us to go do a bunch of testing, I.E. deactivate all of our plugins, check PHP memory is ridiculous, I did not sign up for a beta program, I paid for what was suppose to be working software. I have opened a dispute with PayPal and I am requesting a refund for non-working software. I will find something else that works to use on my site.

  19. I have received the exact same problem as numerous others have described above me.

I hope you guys at GF resolve this quickly!

Same problem here! Just bought the developer version today (March 6) and can't save my forms. What's the deal?

I'm on a deadline and bought GF because it looked simpler to get what I wanted in a shorter time frame... Ackkk... Not pleased right now.

  22. It is also not working for me... What is going on and why is it not working on fresh wordpress installs?

Posted 12 years ago on Wednesday March 7, 2012 | Permalink
  23. Tried the plugin both on automated installs on hostmonster and godaddy... No other plugins, no conflicts.. This plugin simply just does not work. How do we get refunded?

Just bought the dev package, 7 march and i have the same issue.
It does remember the fields i used to make a new form, although it doesn't appear on the edit forms page. WP 3.3.1. When i hit 'save' it says: "There was an error while saving your form. Please contact our support team."

  28. Ummm... Just purchased GravityForms for a project with a super tight deadline (TODAY) and we're experiencing the same issue reported in this thread: We are not able to save a new form.

    Can you help?

  33. Dev-team: Would you make older GF versions available to us? There's no download page on your site, so impossible to make tests on our own. It seems version 1.6 did resolve the problem for Edh.

  34. HAving the same problem. Fresh download 30minutes ago in a new wp installation. 25 minutes creating the form and there is no way to save it. I was testing for another project. The deadline is tomorrow. Please need help.

Just purchased, having same problem...sending login details to Alex now.

  37. I've just sent some login information.

I would like to echo the suggestion above that older versions be made available - it strikes me that this might be a 1.6.3.2 issue for new installs, but I cannot downgrade to 1.6, or anything, really, because we're not provided access to older versions.

This is especially frustrating because this is a brand new install and I cannot now evaluate if the plugin meets my requirements in a reasonable amount of time.

Posted 12 years ago on Wednesday March 7, 2012 | Permalink
  38. I'm also having this issue with a new install using latest Gravity Forms & WP versions. I reverted to GF 1.6.2 and am no longer experiencing the issue, so it seems to be an issue with the latest version of GF.

For those of you who need this resolved immediately, I'd recommend reverting back to at least 1.6.2. You can download it from Google here: [DELETED] (See Alex's post below for a new version with the fix)

Apologies to GF Staff if posting that link is not cool for any reason, just trying to help those out who need it until an update to the plugin can be released.

  39. Thanks for all the admin logins that were sent to my email. They were very helpful in pinpointing this issue. We have released a new version (1.6.3.2.1) with the fix. It is available for download on our downloads page (http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/).

  44. The issue was related to changes we made to work around a WordPress bug related to handling database table names that have capital letters in the prefix.

There is a WordPress bug when using the WordPress dbDelta functionality that causes issues if your table name prefix has uppercase characters.

We implemented a workaround so that this WordPress bug did not cause issues with Gravity Forms database column updates and we accidentally did not remove a line of debug code before releasing it. This line of debug code caused issues for new installs using Gravity Forms v1.6.3.2, although had no impact on existing users who were running older versions and then updated to the new version.

    Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Gravity Forms v1.6.3.2.1 resolves this issue. It is available via automatic update as well as the Plugin Downloads page.
