Upgrade to Beta

    Hi

What is the process to upgrade to the latest beta release, without losing existing forms and entries?

Also, when is it expected to be released for automated upgrades?

Anyway, I've downloaded it and am ready to go. :)

    Thanks much.

  2. You would first need to go to the plugins page of your WordPress admin and deactivate and then delete your existing Gravity Forms plugin. Doing so won't delete your forms or data, it just deletes the files associated with the plugin.

Just *DON'T* press the uninstall button on the Gravity Forms Settings page. This DOES delete all your data, etc. So don't do this if you want to maintain your data. Do what I explained above on the plugins page.

Then you would install the Beta just like any other plugin. You can find instructions here:

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/installing-gravity-forms/

HOWEVER keep in mind this is Beta and there are going to be bugs/issues which is why it is in beta as we do testing before releasing it via automatic upgrade. There is already a known bug with conditional logic on HTML blocks that we will be fixing in Beta 2.

It will be released via automatic upgrade once we are satisfied with the testing phase.

One suggestion for the next version (if not too late), have the "Update Form" button float, like the "Add Fields" section, to save us scrolling all the way to the bottom to "Update".

Another suggestion (if not already possible) is to be able to drag a field from "Add fields" into the place on the form that you want it. Rather than, or as well as, the current method: "click", field gets added to the bottom of the form, "drag into place". Probably not able to do this by next release. Of course if it is already possible then my dragging skills must be bad. :)

Love this plugin! Keep up the great work.
