Upload Issues

  1. Hey all,

For some reason, I constructed a form with an upload mechanism. I tested it out. The image appears to be uploaded, however when I go to my 'entries' and click on the uploaded image, it gives me a page that says "error 404, not found" and also the directory at http://www.agirldiddat.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/1/2011/07/ny.png doesn't even exist on my http://ftp... Am I doing something wrong?

  2. If it doesn't exist on your server via FTP then that means it's not uploading. Chances are it's a file permission issue. You need to make sure wp-content/upload/gravity_forms exists and has CHMOD 777 or CHMOD 755 and then test the upload. Thats where it uploads the file upload files.

Also check your Media upload settings under Media in the main WordPress Settings and make sure they haven't been customized. See this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/PGiC9.png It's the bottom 2 settings on that page. Make sure you don't have custom options here which would change where uploads are going.
